An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

estimated travel dates

Narrowing down the vagueness of travel time….  Perhaps leaving June 24th or July 1st and staying for a duration of two weeks??

hurdle #512 or so...

Special email arrived from the National Visa Center today.  Too bad it had her name written incorrectly….  Luckily, this government agency is quick.  I emailed and got it settled within an hour.  Now that her visa has been applied for, papers get sent to Guangzhou (2 week review?) and then couriered on to Beijing (another week or so?) and then we get travel approval.  I should call and see what a ticket to Shanghai costs with only one week advance notice.  Though I do have a lot of Wells Fargo rewards to possibly use (hopefully).

Approval from immigration!

We got our letter of approval from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services department today!  Next step is to apply for a visa for HanRui (once we receive a certain email) and then send all that info to our adoption agency and they send it to Guangzhou who then sends it to Beijing who then gives us travel approval.  Each time we get one more step complete, they tell us about a few more steps…  Still hoping to travel by late June.  We might have to wait to make all travel plans until we get out travel approval so that might mean traveling on a week's notice.

I just turned over the drawings for one big project yesterday.  Just three more projects to finish up in the next month. Yikes!  Are we ready?

testing….

No news yet other than yesterday I got a receipt for paperwork received by the USCIS (immigration).  Mom, did you get a message that this was posted?
