An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Motorized Rickshaw

The kids and I decided to take a taxi back to the hotel today due to the heat. We tried to get a taxi to stop but were not having much luck, then this lady pulls up and offers us a ride in her rickshaw!! I think she said it would be 3 yuan, but we paid her 30 yuan ($5). At one point the motor killed in the middle of an intersection and it took a minute to get it started again. Part of the way back we drove by Marnie walking along the street, who was very surprised to see what we were riding in!!! We were also going the wrong way down one street with her honking for everyone to get out of the way!! Seems like bikes and rickshaws are allowed to bend the rules.
