proverb

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Orphanage Tour

At the orphanage, we got a little tour by the director's assistant. We saw the 6-12 month old playroom and recognized it from photos we have of Neela there. We went into the baby room and had a few babies grab our fingers. We then saw the 18 month old preschool room and one little boy with deformed limbs reached up for us to hold him. We both picked him up, he had a spiffy haircut and was very friendly!!

There were some kids with obvious medical needs but also quite a few that must have more minor issues. There are about 100 kids there though we saw maybe half.

After our visit with the foster family, we had lunch with the orphanage staff. They we very impressed with how well we used chopsticks and how great eaters all the kids were. They loved how much rice Neela would eat and we joked about how Neela was stronger than everybody.
