An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Half-time snacks

Yesterday me and my dad were outside playing soccer when a man came out with his baby and started talking to us. He knew a little English but it was still difficult to communicate. We asked how old his baby was and he would take a few seconds to think how to say 10 months in English. After a while he offered us watermelon and his wife brought us both a huge slice. Soon my mom came out and then he brought out another slice for her too. Our faces were dripping with watermelon juice by the time we were done but it was delicious! We continued playing a while longer before retreating back to our air conditioned apartment to cool off.
