Rooftop tai chi

Click the video in a separate post for morning excercises atop the 8 story building nearby. It rained last night and the mountain view has disappeared in the fog. This photo clearly shows the pattern of development all over China. We are sort of near edge of town. Note the farmland outside our building area and then the ring of cranes atop scaffolded highrises growing all in a row.

Half the Sky (now One Sky) foundation has done a lot of great things to educate caregivers, support children's programs, and in general, greatly improve the lives for orphaned children living in institutional settings. Half the Sky, along with Holt International, has sponsored the family village program for children with special needs. Neela had been living with a family in this program.

Also, check out this amazing book, Wish You Happy Forever, written by Jenny Bowen, founder of Half the Sky. She set out to provide an opportunity for loving and nurturing care for all orphans in China and she did it! Thank you, Jenny, for your role in providing Neela's loving care.

A Child's Right is an organization that came into the Nanchang Social Welfare Institute in May of 2007 and improved the water quality. 90% of the drinking water in China was not healthy to drink at that time.
