proverb

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Starting to explore Guilin

We had a lazy morning on the apartment as it poured all morning.  It was nice not to feel like we had to rush out and do something.   It let up in time to venture out for lunch (pizza!) and to walk the "four lakes and two rivers" route in the central part of town.  In order to get there, we managed to figure out at least one bus route and we rode it without making any major errors that we know of.  Only $1.60 for all 5 of us to ride one way.  Not bad.

Speaking of all 5 of us, I feel like we are quite a presence all walking in a group - especially as the kids tend to wander aimlessly out from us.  We were trying to figure out during lunch how we could blend in more.  The best suggestion was to all (except Neela) dye our hair black. Somehow I think that would not be enough....

Back home to the apartment to dinner delivered by Mrs. Huang and her daughter.  Delicious! Lucky us!
