An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Happy Birthday, Luke!

Luke celebrated his 15th birthday today!  We went to the Guilin Botanical Gardens as his choice today.  It was a pretty park and an enjoyable morning.   We picked out and ordered a birthday cake in the afternoon. It didn't come quite as we expected. Cherry tomatoes on top? We thought they looked like strawberries on the picture.

When Mrs. Huang brought dinner,  she also brought a cake!  Compliments of our travel agent; how fun!  She also cooked noodles for dinner - long noodles bring a long life - a Chinese birthday tradition.  A birthday to remember!

Two beautiful cakes! Great way to celebrate your birthday. Happy Birthday, Luke!
We remember meeting you in the hospital 15 years ago. (You were a BIG boy!) It was such a wonderful day for us. You launched us into "grandparenthood" and it has been a joy!!

We love you!
