proverb

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Day 2 - Getting more comfortable

Seem to be feeling more comfortable with us today. Copied Neela's thing with stealing my hat and trying it on.  Nice to have Neela along to show her how it works to be a kid in our family. Enjoying the jump rope and getting pretty good at it.  She had a little sad time this afternoon and cried for a little bit.  I can't even imagine what it is like for her leaving everything she knows to join our family and travel to a foreign land.  We stopped by the shopping mall after lunch today and bought her a rolling suitcase and a pair of tennis shoes.  I have never seen anyone so happy to be getting a piece of luggage, it seems to mean a lot to her to get things and she is so polite and appreciative.  We had a group of sales ladies gathered around us when buying shoes and they talked to her in Chinese, about what we don't know but she seemed to enjoy having someone she could talk to.
