proverb

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. --Chinese proverb

Pillow fight

The sister relationship goes through it's ups and downs.   It was very fun today to watch a pillow fight following the long, skinny balloon sword fight as they each defended one of the beds.   Ani was laughing the entire time and Neela was having a blast, too as they jumped from bed to bed.  (Sorry, Marriott hotel.  Usually I would not condone excessive bed jumping, but it is all in the name of bonding. )

Neela is a big help, even as she is challenged to share our time and attention.  The two week trip is a good time to work through the ever changing feelings. It is sometimes a good thing that Ani does not understand us as Neela and I can discuss concerns right on the spot and work through the reasons that she acts a certain way or why we do a certain thing for her.

I see this as a great thing in the long run for both of them as they get older.  They will have each other to help make sense of their past and present.
